Who we are
Orange Taco is run by Orange Taco LLC, 1200 McKinney Street, Houston, Texas 77010. "We" and "us" mean Orange Taco LLC. Questions go to hello@orangetaco.co.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use orangetaco.co, order, book, sign in, or call us. What you buy from us, and how cancellations and refunds work, is in Sales & Refunds. How we handle your information is in our Privacy Policy. When you order, book, or create an account, we ask you to agree to these terms.
Please read "Disputes" below. It says that disputes are settled by individual arbitration, not in court, and not as a class action.
Your account
- You sign in with a link we email you. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep your email secure.
- We keep one record for each person. We may ask for your phone number. When you add or confirm one, we text you a code.
- If you have two accounts, you can ask to join them. When our records show they are both yours, we confirm it with a code and a link. When they do not, the other account has to agree from its own sign-in.
- To have your record erased, write to hello@orangetaco.co. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep.
Our phone line
- Calls to (844) 519-2433 are answered by an AI assistant. It tells you so, and that the call is transcribed.
- The assistant can help you put an order or booking together. It does not take payment. Nothing is ordered until you pay on our site.
- The assistant can make mistakes. What you see at checkout is what counts.
Texts from Orange Taco
We send three kinds of texts, and only when you ask for them.
- Codes: when you sign in with your phone, or add or confirm a number, we text you a code.
- Links during a call: the assistant may offer to text you something easier on a screen - the order you put together, a booking page, or directions. It asks first. We send it only if you say yes. If you say no, we tell you the web address instead.
- At most 3 texts during one call, and at most 5 in a day. A link to your order works for 24 hours.
- Offers, only if you turn them on: in your account, tick "Text me offers" for your number and we text offers up to 4 times a month. It is never a condition of buying anything. Untick it or reply STOP to end them.
- Reply STOP to stop texts from this number. We confirm once. Reply HELP for help, or write to hello@orangetaco.co.
- Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your number, or your consent to be texted, with anyone for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
Events hosted by partners
Some events are hosted by partners. We sell the seat and run the booking. The partner is responsible for what they present. If an event is cancelled or moved, Sales & Refunds explains what happens.
Food, drink, and safety
- Our kitchen handles common allergens, including nuts, sesame, shellfish, dairy, eggs, soy, and wheat. We cannot promise that any dish is free of an allergen. Tell us about allergies when you order, and ask us before you eat.
- We serve alcohol at the restaurant, at events, including those hosted by partners, and with catering, only to guests 21 and over with valid ID. We may refuse or stop serving alcohol to anyone, including a guest who appears intoxicated.
- At a tasting, a guest without ID is served the zero-proof pairing instead.
- Fragrance is for use on skin only. Keep it away from eyes, heat, and open flame, and out of reach of children. If irritation occurs, stop using it and write to hello@orangetaco.co.
- Some events involve physical activity. Those events carry their own release, shown before you book.
Using our site
- The words, photos, and designs on this site are ours or used with permission. Do not copy them for commercial use without asking.
- Do not misuse the site: no attempts to break it, get around its limits, or use it to harm others.
- If any part of the site is hard for you to use, write to hello@orangetaco.co and we help you order or book another way.
Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, and our responsibility for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law.
Disputes
- Talk to us first. Write to hello@orangetaco.co with what happened and what you want. We have 60 days to try to put it right before either side starts a claim.
- If we cannot settle it, it goes to binding arbitration, one person at a time, with the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Rules. Fees follow those rules.
- No class actions. You and we each bring claims only for ourselves, not as part of a group.
- Either side can use small claims court instead, for claims that qualify there.
- If 25 or more similar claims are filed at once, they are handled in batches, in the order filed.
- You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms, by writing to hello@orangetaco.co.
- These terms are governed by Texas law and the Federal Arbitration Act. Anything not sent to arbitration goes to the courts of Harris County, Texas.
- If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court, not arbitration.
Changes
When these terms change, we update the dates at the top of this page. The terms that apply to an order are the ones in place when you placed it. A change to "Disputes" does not apply to a dispute already started.
